This game is starting to look quite good. Not like your typical fmg game every second person who gets their hands on AI art makes. I like the new visuals and the aestetic overall. As a fellow game dev, I am very much looking forward to where this will go! I have a few things to point out though:

  • The game is in desperate need of a story. Right now you are put in a  room and you just chill and workout there.
  • Uniqueness! I have said this to a couple of other fmg game creators, but this basic scenario, where you workout and rest is just too bloated too many games. I am not trying to sully the concept, don't get me wrong, I am just trying to give some advice as someone, who has been making and playing FMG games for a while. Thus, I recommend either making a very fun and unique mechanic, like for workouts and whatnot or an interesting plot and character development.
  • This goes a bit inline with my previous statement, but the gameplay is quite repetitive and I don't know if it is just me, but the clicky nature of most fmg games, is just too simplistic. I like that you switched from renpy to unity and would love to see what you do with the gameplay.
  • Also a little AI art tip - don't img2img the growth too many times, as it becomes quite hard to keep up and the mistakes will just build on and on. For better transitions you can use image interpolation between a very muscular and an initial picture, then pick out the best results and edit them a bit to make them more consistent. I am not saying the current images are bad, on the contrary I think they are quite good, but I can see the AI mistakes and body frame issues, which will get hard to maintain.

Well, that is all I wanted to mention, I hope some of it helps! Hope you continue developing this game as it is quite promising! Good job!

Hi, thank you for the feedback I am aware the game is repetitive and empty at the moment. I had little to no time working on that prototype (about 3 days of development). I am still working on building a stronger foundation, I am in the process of remaking the UI and implementing a dialogue system. I have a lot of foundation to build before I'll have the luxury to  even think about designing the gameplay loop.

Don't get me wrong though, I am thinking about improving the gameplay loop but I still need to sort out technical aspects.

Btw, I find your Godot game pretty cool. It was one of my inspirations for upgrading to Unity.

Understandable. It does indeed take quite a while to make a game's foundation. Take mine for example - I have been developing it for over a year and a half, and can finally say, most of the systems needed are in place. Take your time to make the base stronger, as it gets quite hard to maintain otherwise!

Game loop is something that will need to be built inevitably, thus I suggest to build systems around the ground gameplay idea, before finally implementing it.

tbh i liked the old version better.

What do you like better in the older version?

ui and visuals. i mean it doesn't have seem a fmg game to me. the whole gameplay loop seems to me, detached from the fmg part. main problem is that you want to do things the same way you do in renpy and i think it doesn't work and i think you need to rethink your whole approach. i mean you must go to bathroom to see girls growth stage and then we have a completely detached gmeplay. it gives less to a fmg fan than last version.

I can see that, but to be fair a lot of it has to do with the newer version being experimental and incomplete.

I still need to work on mechanics like a debranching dialog system which I had in Renpy out of the box, not to mention make art assets because I am not happy with the quality/consistency of the previous ones.

The prototype is far from being a playable game, it's goal is to showcase an idea and receiving feedback before committing to it so needless to say, the feedback is appreciated.

The main reason I made the engine change was that it is really tiresome to work on multiple projects in different engines and I thought it would be cool if there more games like this that weren't limited by Renpy.

I understand where youre coming from, but i have to agree that honestly the older version has more to offer in both fmg and character aspects. There is nowhere near as much character with this version of the game, you just workout, sleep, rinse and repeat, im aware the older build was very much like this too but there were things like other characters to interact with, and ways to increase your growth outside of simply extra stamina. The older build, i happily explored to the end of the growth stages, in this new build i cant get past stage 4 without getting tired of the rinse and repeat gameplay. Something new needs to be added desperately, or like the other user suggested, maybe even a whole re-approach to the game itself.

I read the comments here and I'm confused if we play the same game. I am blocked at Mass 4 and can't seem to find the different work people talk about. Any help?

Lmao, this is going to be confusing to explain.

I am remaking/reimagining my game so it has two version. If you download the version 0.14 (OLD), you'll get to play the old version of the game with slightly more context.  The version you are playing now is a prototype with only 4 stages.

Did it immediately do that? What happens when you select the far right and far left green bits?

I also got this on android but that was just for the HTML version but the APK works fine.

The only feedback I can give for now is that along with the increase in stamina our work also pays us more since we're working for longer periods of time thanks to our enhanced stamina. Also add supplements to make the mini games easier or gain mass more quickly.

Thanks for the feedback, I am still conceptualising the gameplay loop so any input is appreciated.

Usually into these types of games, but I'm not a fan of masculine chests on my muscle women. Doesn't have to be ridiculous, but flat chest/pecs on muscle women are gross.

Thanks for the feedback, I was thinking about including implants at some point.

I was surprised how good this beginning was, no bugs pretty straightforward, lacks more content but the game is fairly new so that's not a problem. Really enjoyed it and im very curious to what you are planning next!

Oh, my man...where to begin. I played most of the FMG games, and honestly it's up to you what you like. 

I noticed a patern also with people liking main characters that start of frail skinny weak, helpless bla bla you know and then as they gain muscle and strength their personality changes more on a dominant side. 

Also start of with a small open story that you will slowly expand through updates, for example take Sarah, a girl you met and the library picking up dumbells and you go to the gym with her to help her train, so she doesnt become immediately buff, you are with her through the process of it and you both love it...(pervy scene right there).

Also with you meeting new people, rivals, enemies etc.

It's your world play with it, open up a patreon and ask the subscribers what they want aswell(for me futa option would be neat)

Also change the description of the game a bit, give a small intro when you open itch.io

And play some other fmg games to find more inspiration.

You already got the skills to make a good game now all you need is to release that pervy mind!

Hmm.. yeah I didn't really bother marketing the game at all, I was studying game development for around a year now and I felt like it went nowhere. I picked up Renpy for a weekender and stitched this project in a few weeks for shits and giggle. Never thought much of the game and I didn't anticipate it getting any attention.

I don't mind you promoting it but I feel like it's very unbaked. To get the game in a more presentable state I need plenty of art assets and writing and I hate the process of making them. Honestly, I wish I had a team so I would only need to worry about functionality.

Hmm, have you thought about joining some discords for people with similar interests, if you share your vision there I believe many would follow. A lot of Discords have channels about promotions of other games, quite wholesome actually, try FMG World, Ginas Gym, Bayshore Academy, and also DeviantArt groups. 

and honestly if you managed to pump this out in only a few weeks by yourself, I can only imagine what you could do with a couple peeps more. I guess I can help aswell if you ever need ideas or some art also.

Speaking of Bayshore, wasn't that game transferred to another person just to be instantly abandon for over a year?

Bug report playing this in browser: Reading with 0 energy moves the game to the start menu and there is no way to cancel the reading interaction. also starting a new game resumes the old save.

Good catch, I overlooked a line in the code that messed it up, fixed now.

I'm going to be honest, this game is not good. It does its job as a demo but there is a MAJOR lack in visual consistency. Every image feels like a completely different character even though its not. Also while I'm not 100% opposed to using AI images in games since I think it gives creators who are not as artistically gifted a way to get some art into their games. At least put in the bare minimum effort to make the images consistent.

Is the art AI? I don't want to say it is without asking, it looks like it, which IF it is, would be extremely disappointing.

For transparency yes! The art is AI generated.

I made the game alone which takes time and different skillsets and since not an artist, so I use AI tools.

If I want to implement non AI art I would need to either:

  1. Find an artist that wants to volunteer for free.
  2. Wait for donations to come.
  3. Lock the game behind a price tag.

As an artist, I'm very disappointed, I understand these tools are easy to use but they're built on theft and actively hurt artists.

You're also wanting to get into, or are interested in game design, a field that employs many artists. 

I'm not saying you're a bad person, I just hate these tools with a passion and you should realise you're hurting artists that both work in the industry you have an interest in and aspiring artists wanting to break out into the games industry.

If you don't have access to drawing your own art or an artists, I would suggest trying to make a different game rather than a VN that's built mainly on art.

It's very popular, I encourage you, join, there's a section for people to collab on game jams or games in general, post there, see if you can link up with some artists.
